Heather Chadduck
Heather Chadduck Hillegas is an interior decorator, textile designer, and photo stylist. As the founding Style Editor of Cottage Living, former Style Director of Coastal Living, and most recently Style Director of Southern Living, her work has defined casual chic and the new Southern style for more than 15 years. Her design work reflects her fine arts training at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she developed her love of antiques and textiles. A collector at heart, Heather loves to hunt and gather vintage finds on extensive worldwide travels with her husband, photographer David Hillegas. Heather Chadduck Textiles are hand-printed on 100% preshrunk Belgian linen in a U.S. mill using artisan techniques in production since the 1930s. Each water-based, eco-friendly dye undergoes a unique finishing process: pigments are heat set, or cured, and vat dyes are aged to set them into the fibers of the fabric.
