Kris McIntosh is a Marin based ceramicist who finds joy in creating beautiful and useful art for the home. She works almost exclusively in porcelain, admiring the beauty of the raw clay, producing forms that honor simplicity and elegance - that evoke lines and forms seen in nature. This marbled technique is inspired by the Nerikomi technique where the vessels are thrown with porcelain layered with stained clays to create unique patterns and variations.
